SAINT LUCIA MINISTER’S POSITIVE FIRST MEETING WITH AMERICAN AIRLINES
SAINT LUCIA (January 21, 2012) – The first official meeting between Saint Lucia’s Tourism Minister and American Airlines was described as positive and will be followed by further sessions to iron out future relations between the major carrier and the new administration.
The new Saint Lucia minister of tourism, Lorne Theophilus met in Miami with respected airline veteran Peter Dolara, who is responsible for American Airlines in the Caribbean.
Talks were reported to be positive and further discussions, likely to focus on revenue guarantees and schedules, are expected over the next few weeks.
Minister Theophilus, en route to the Bahamas for Caribbean Marketplace, was accompanied by a national tourism team, including the newly appointed chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourist Board, Matthew Beaubrun, on his courtesy call on the respected senior vice president for Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America.
